
Mr Burnlees, who sponsored the club through his company JB Site Investigations, died on Friday after suffering from a heart failure.
Porteous said news of his death had shocked everyone at the club, and condolences were sent to Mr Burnlees’ family.
Players, officials and fans held a minute’s silence before Saturday’s game against Queen’s Park.
The funeral is due to be held this Saturday (February 15) and as a result the kick-off for the home game against Elgin has been put back by an hour to 4pm.
A club official said this was with the blessing of both Elgin and the SFL and thanks go to them for their co-operation.
