BERWICK Rangers have been handed a home draw against Wick Academy in the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
The Highland League side, who are managed by former Rangers and Hearts player Davie Kirkwood, beat Spartans 2-0 in the first round at Ainslie Park, and hammered Coldstream 9-1 in the first round last season.
The Caithness men finished eighth in the Highland League last season and lost 4-2 at home to Raith Rovers in the Ramsden’s Cup earlier this season.
The draw was made in Glasgow at 2pm today by former Berwick schoolboy and England international Trevor Steven.
The second round match at Shielfield Park will be played on Saturday 29 September.
Selkirk will host Vale of Leithen at Yarrow Park in a Borders derby which ensures one East of Scotland League club will make it to the third round.
Both sides faced each other three times last season, with Vale coming out on top in each match, scoring ten goals without reply.
Elsewhere, Rangers travel to Highland League side Forres Mechanics, while East of Scotland League champions Stirling University at home to Bonnyrigg Rose is another tie of the round.
