Foxlakes Triathlon

On the June 7 Jane Holmes competed in one of the most unusual triathlons in the sport’s calendar, The Fox Lake Triathlon, near Dunbar. This was an off road super sprint consisting of a lake swim of 200m, then a mountain bike ride of 3km followed by run of ‘not far maybe 1km or so’ according to the organisers.

Competitors were expected to finish in about 15 minutes, the twist being that each entrant had to do two races, two qualifying races were held after which the fastest ones went on to race again in the final while the slower ones raced again in the repercharge round.
