Coldstream 6, Ormiston 2: Robbie Armstrong scored a hat-trick as Coldstream came from behind to crush Ormiston.

The visitors took the lead 15 minutes in at Home Park when Coldstream goalkeeper Mark Walters fumbled a long throw into the box. Simon Heyes collected the loose ball to turn and shoot home from 14 yards.

But Coldstream, who lost at home to local rivals Duns in midweek, responded well to the setback and were 3-1 up by half-time thanks to John Crawford’s 41st goal of the season and Armstrong’s double.

Martyn Cornish’s chipped pass to Mitchell Simpson on the left set up the equaliser, Crawford collecting the low cross to find the net with the help of a deflection.

Simpson’s pass released Armstong to score the second, and the winger then capitalised on a poor keeper’s kick out to fire home the third before half time.

Crawford’s cut-back allowed Craig Heugh to prod home the fourth at the near post from close range before Ormiston left-back Ross Middlemass was sent off for another foul on man-of-the-match Armstrong.

Mark Bolton scored from the resulting free-kick just outside the box and Armstrong completed his hat-trick in spectacular fashion, firing into the top corner just a couple of yards from the byline out on the right. Ian Adams netted a late consolation for the visitors.
