Fans of popular Halloween film Hocus Pocus will be happy to learn that the original cast is reuniting this October.
Actors Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy (who played the infamous Sanderson sisters) will reunite for a virtual ‘Hulaween’ fundraising event, in aid of the New York Restoration Project, with fans able to pay to reserve a space in order to be a part of the virtual event.
The event is being held to raise funds for New York Restoration Project’s environmental and social justice work.
The organisation, which was founded by Bette Midler in 1995, has planted trees, renovated gardens, restored parks, and transformed open spaces for communities throughout New York City.
How to take part in the event
Fans of Hocus Pocus can reserve a spot for the one-hour virtual event, which will take place on Friday 30 October at 8pm EST (1am in the UK).
Reservations cost $10 (around £7.70) per person. Your personalised access link will be emailed to you in advance of the event.
What is Hocus Pocus?
Hocus Pocus is a 1993 American fantasy-comedy film, directed by Kenny Ortega and written by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris.
Starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as the Sanderson sisters, the film follows the trio of witches who are accidentally resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem on Halloween night.
The film is regularly watched by many around Halloween each year.
A sequel to the 1993 film is also said to be in the works, and according to Variety, the Hocus Pocus sequel will premiere on Disney's streaming service, Disney Plus.
However, it’s not yet been confirmed if any of the original Sanderson sisters will appear in the sequel.
