Fire crews called to the scene had to remove the roof of the woman’s car to free her. The incident happened at 2pm on the A6105 just outside Duns. The woman, who has not been named, also suffered injuries to her arms and legs.

A woman was taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a one-vehicle crash on the Duns to Greenlaw on Saturday afternoon.
