Two men called at a house in Kelso saying they were from British Gas and were there to fit a smart meter.
The homeowner didn’t open the door and contacted British Gas who said that the phone number provided by the two men didn’t relate to British Gas.
There is no further description of the men but they were seen to get into what appeared to be a dark green estate car.
