East Lothian’s rich soils have been well and truly researched by Natalie Taylor, the first John Muir artist in residence at Dunbar Town House.
Natalie is investigating the importance of East Lothian’s soils and fertility during International Soils Year and with her initial field work completed she has started working towards an exhibition in the Town House Gallery which will run from May 23 to June 21 (open 1pm to 4pm daily).
And the call has gone out for volunteers to help with that exhibition.
Northern Light Arts and East Lothian Arts Service has supported the work and they are now looking for a number of outgoing volunteers who have an interest in contemporary environmental arts, to work front of house to support the East Lothian museum staff in the gallery and answer enquiries from visitors to the exhibition about Natalie’s aims for her work. This opportunity could suit those who wish to gain experience of exhibition management.
North Light Arts will reimburse volunteers expenses.
Applicants will require one reference and may be asked to attend an interview.
