More than 50 horses and riders took part in the annual 15-mile excursion around the town’s ancient boundaries
Chief marshal Louise Taylor, 22, from Berwick, on board Charlie, said: “It’s a great occasion to be involved in, even if it is a little nerve-wracking.”
Participants gathered at Berwick Barracks before parading to Marygate where they were sent on their way by Mayor John Robertson.
Conditions were very hard underfoot at first but a downpour halfway through the ride made the ground softer.
The event dates back to 1438. This was its 404th staging.
