Two people have died in a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A6105 Duns to Greenlaw road.
The 24-year-old driver and a 23-year-old passenger of a Toyota Corolla car died at the scene of the accident, around a quarter of a mile west of Duns.
The accident happened at about 3.40pm on Friday, December 5 when the car collided with a lorry. The road was closed for about eight hours while police investigated the cause of the collision.
Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses and urged motorists to take extra care in winter weather.
Sergeant Brian Jones said: “Sadly, both the driver and passenger of the silver Toyota Corolla lost their life, and we are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who was on the A6105 west of Duns at around 3.40pm is urged to contact police on 101.”
