THANK you to all who supported our sponsored walk last Saturday. It was a beautiful day and particular thanks go to youngsters Rachel, Connor, Rebecca, Chris and Scott and all the dogs who showed the adults how to walk 20 miles without moaning.

We have two Jacks this week. Jack one is a four-and-a-half-year-old terrier type. He needs to be an only dog and to be kept on lead when out and about around dogs. Jack two is a three-and-a-half-year-old white and tan Jack Russell. He is a bit overweight at the moment but lots of exercise and a reducing diet will work wonders. He is an affectionate little boy, although we are told if he doesn’t want to do something he won’t. He has been okay around the other dogs in kennels while on lead. He would suit a home with company and children over eight.

Rabbits are aged from seven months to three years. Ziggy is doing well with her weight loss. William only has one eye but this has no effect on his life. Thumper #1 is an escape artist so will need a super-secure hutch and run. Thumper #2 has the most beautiful silky grey coat and is very friendly. Pair Patch and Sooty ideally need to go together but will need a large hutch as they are both big bunnies. Alfie has the most laid-back and inquisitive nature. Emily is pretty chilled out as well. Trigger has been neutered so may settle with a female bunny.

We have two guineas who are looking for a home together, a boy and a girl, but the girl is neutered to stop any accidents.

We have many cats still looking for homes. The older cats keep getting overlooked. Older cats have unique benefits, in they have made it past that time when they find the traffic far too interesting for their own good. You know the personality of the cat and they know how to use a litter tray and a cat flap.

Our Easter Fayre is next Saturday, April 23, starting at 10am at the Guildhall in Berwick. There will be the usual stalls including tombola, cakes and raffles (all donations welcome) along with our BARK goods and books. Come and join us for a hot cross bun or some scones with jam and cream.
