100,000 Yetis produced by Skoda

The 100,000th Yeti has been produced by Škoda at the Czech plant Kvasiny. The popular all-rounder has only been built and sold by Škoda for two years. Besides Kvasiny in the Czech Republic where all UK-sold Yeti are built, production has also been taking place in the Indian city of Aurangabad since 2010. The vehicle is also assembled in the Russian city of Kaluga.

Since its market introduction in 2009, the Yeti has been celebrating great market successes, and in the popular compact SUV segment, it performs well in every driving situation. Moreover, the Yeti ensures maximum safety for its passengers, driver and pedestrians, which is why it has received a five-star Euro NCAP rating.

Rising prices at the pumps need not concern Toyota owners, thanks to a summer-long free fuel bonus. Anyone buying a new Aygo, Yaris, Auris, Auris Hybrid or Verso can enjoy six months of driving with Toyota footing the fuel bill. Each new car will be sold with a pre-loaded Visa card covering the cost of 5,000 miles of motoring - about the distance covered on average in six months of driving.

According to the model purchased, the equivalent saving is up to £635, calculated using a benchmark combined cycle fuel consumption figure and pence-per-litre fuel price. Owners use the card to pay for each fill-up until the credit is exhausted. The offer is open to retail customers and applies to all versions of each model purchased June 1-September 30 and registered before December 31.
