Not previously a keen cycler, Shirley McColm completed the epic journey over three days in May, covering 140 miles.
"I wasn't a keen cyclist before but I am now," Shirley admitted. "I hadn't been on my bike for years and a friend of mine said do you fancy doing it.
"Before I knew where I was I'd said yes!"
And despite cycling through mixed conditions, Shirley said she had a great time taking on the challenge. "It started off fine but then we faced a cold wind, then snow, rain, sleet, we had it all!
"I really enjoyed it though, it was good for me as a person but also a good way to raise some money."
Although she raised an impressive final total of 1,545 for the Berwickshire Church Youth Trust (BCYT), Shirley said she had originally set herself a 500 target.
She explained: "I'm a Christian, and I think they do a lot of good work in the community and in the schools in the area.
"I had set myself a target of 500 so when it got to almost 1,000 I was so shocked. I'm completely overwhelmed at how much money I have raised and how generous people have been."
