Scrap metal stolen from Chirnside farm

Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a theft of a pressure washer and scrap metal from a Chirnside farm.

The incident is believed to have happened between 12pm on February 14, and 3pm on February 18 when the items were taken from a farm steading near Chirnside. The value is thought to be around £800.

Inspector John Scott from Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Chirnside area on the dates specified.

“Farms are often targets for opportunistic theft so we would also like to remind people to ensure their items of value are secured and stored out of sight. Anyone looking for more information on crime prevention can contact their local policing team.”
