Now that the school holidays have begun, Scottish Borders Council has begun a programme of improvements, focusing on Early Years services.

Works include the provision of Early Years services at Cockburnspath Primary, Coldstream Priory, and Eyemouth Primary.

Also planned are new and refurbished toilets at Chirnside Primary.

Further school improvements set to be rolled out in the coming months.

SBC’s executive member for roads and infrastructure, councillor Gordon Edgar said: “Our architects team has put in a lot of effort and has communicated with its clients to ensure they are in a position to deliver these projects over the summer period. They should be proud of their efforts which will improve facilities at eight Borders schools for a number of years ahead.
