Road to Referendum goes via Coldstream

Borders MP Michael Moore’s ‘Road to Referendum’ campaign arrives in Coldstream, today, Thursday, May 29, in the town hall at 7pm.

The Coldstream event is the fifth in a series of open public meetings across the Borders Mr Moore is holding to provide his constituents with an opportunity to get their questions on Scottish independence answered and to discuss issues of concern.

Encouraging people to go along to the meeting in Coldstream, whatever their views, Mr Moore said: “We have less than four months to decide whether we stay in the United Kingdom family or go it alone. The future shape of Scotland, and the very existence of the United Kingdom, is at stake in the forthcoming referendum.

“Over the last couple of weeks I have spent a lot of time speaking to people in Coldstream about the referendum: there are still a lot of unanswered questions for many people which I hope to address at the next meeting.

“After successful meetings in Duns, Eyemouth, Hawick, Jedburgh and Selkirk, in which we discussed topics ranging from the currency question to Scotland’s place in the world, I am looking forward to bringing the Road to Referendum campaign to Coldstream.”
