Members of the Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards 1815 Military and Living History Society set up camp at the Hirsel and were on sentry duty at the town’s museum in the Market Square.
The event attracted visitors to the town and Hirsel estate and Coldstream Museum saw a 300% increase in people through its doors last weekend compared to the weekend before.
Andrew Tulloch, assistant curator, said: “We are very pleased to see so many people visiting the museum and the town.
“The Coldstream Guards are an important part of the history of Coldstream and we really enjoyed having the living history re-enactors of the Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards 1815 in the museum.
“Our visitors enjoyed the demonstrations and talking to the re-enactors and this is certainly something that we would consider hosting again.”
During the weekend as well as doing sentry duty at the museum, the re-enactment team also demonstrated musketry, parades and drilling.
