£10,000 pot for Borders youngsters

Activities and projects for young people in the Borders could benefit from a new £10,000 Youth Chex funding pot.

Youth Chex is a Youth Bank funded by Scottish Borders Council and licensed by Youth Bank Scotland to make funds available each year for projects which benefit young people, aged 12-25, living in the Borders. A panel of 10 youngsters assess the applications and decide on how the funding should be distributed.

Youth Chex funding has previously been awarded to a wide range of projects including an open water training course and Eyemouth and District Community Youth Theatre.

The Youth Chex panel meet to consider applications and award funding on: Monday, June 30; Monday, August 11; and Monday, October 13.
