New Chair of Lammermuir Festival Zoe Van Zwanenberg

The Lammermuir Festival is delighted to announce Zoe Van Zwanenberg as its new Chair. Zoe succeeds Jim Stretton, who has been Chair since the Festival began in 2010. This announcement comes straight after the success of the 2016 Lammermuir Festival which has been its biggest and most ambitious programme to date with record ticket sales and audience number

The Lammermuir Festival has taken place in the picturesque and historic region of East Lothian annually since 2010 and is now a major fixture in the UK classical music calendar. The festival programmes feature some of the finest British and international classical artists, orchestras and ensembles, in beautiful, interesting and often surprising venues. In 2015, internationally renowned Scottish pianist Steven Osborne became Patron. The festival is produced by a dedicated team for The Lamp of Lothian Trust.

The new Chair Zoe Van Zwanenberg has had an active engagement with music from a very young age, notably at the Aldeburgh Festival in Suffolk where she was brought up. She was Chair of Scottish Ballet for nine years, a non-executive director of the Bath Festivals, and currently is the Chair of Scottish Youth Dance, and Chair of Dancers Career Development.

The next Lammermuir Festival will be on September 15-24 2017. For more details see
