The St Abbs Visitor Centre is delighted to announce that it has been loaned a painting of St Abbs by the Scottish Fisheries Museum in Anstruther.

The painting is called ‘St Abbs Harbour’ and was painted in 1891 by the Belgian landscape and seascape artist Adriaan Josef Heymans.

It shows a traditional ‘fifie’ fishing boat entering the harbour mouth of St Abbs.

Visitor centre manager Georgia Conolly is thrilled to have acquired the piece and is hoping many people will take the opportunity to view it before it leaves the centre on September 1.
