The ‘one stop’ recruitment event will be held on Thursday, August 22at Borders College, Galashiels Campus and split into two sessions from 10.30am-12.30pm and 2-4pm.
On arrival candidates will be greeted by members of the Human Resources team, and will have the opportunity to see all the vacancies that are available. This will cover permanent, fixed term and temporary posts across all specialities, as well as an opportunity to be recruited to the nurse bank. Candidates will then be asked to complete an application form which will be reviewed by the HR team for short listing, after which an interview slot will be offered for the same day. Candidates will also be asked to complete an occupational health questionnaire. Nurses and midwives who are recruited to the nurse bank will be informed on the same day. For those applying for specific posts, their appointment will be advised by letter. It is hoped that successful candidates will be in their new post by the end of October 2013.
