John Lamont visited the Royal Mail Delivery Office in Duns to wish the staff there luck ahead of the Christmas rush. The coming weeks will be the busiest time of the year for the Royal Mail, with many delivery offices staying open late to deal with increased influx of letters and parcels.
Mr Lamont said: “I always enjoy taking time out of my schedule to pay a visit to the Royal Mail’s Duns Delivery Office.
The staff there are incredibly hard-working and I feel that it is only right that we thank them for their efforts not only at Christmas but throughout the year.
Over the coming weeks when many of us will be warm in our homes, they will be out in all weathers to make sure that we get our Christmas mail.”
