Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire MSP John Lamont has launched his 2015 Westminster election campaign, introducing his own website,

Lamont, who was selected as the Scottish Conservative candidate for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk following the first open primary to be held in Scotland, said: “Although the election is over a year away there is a lot of work to be done, and I will be looking to engage with Borders residents as much as possible in the coming months.

“It has been my honour to represent this region over the past seven years as its MSP, and I want to use the experience I have gained to help them further in Westminster.”

One of the ways he plans to keep in touch with constituents is via his new website.

“Since I was first elected in 2007 I have had more and more local residents get in contact with me online. Every year I help hundreds of my constituents with issues and problems they are having, and increasingly they have contacted me either through e-mail or online.

“In this day and age having a website that can offer people useful information and let them get in contact with me quickly and easily is essential. That is why I have decided to launch this new website.”
