Local MP and Secretary of State for Scotland Michael Moore is to speak to professionals working in agriculture in the Borders on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.
Mr Moore is the guest speaker at the AGM of the South of Scotland and Border Valuers Association. He will talk about the European reforms and how they affect the devolved regions, from a UK Government perspective.
Andrew Linehan, of the SSBVA, said: “It will afford our members – professionals working in the agricultural sector – a tremendous opportunity to hear the views of the UK Government on the CAP reforms. I am sure there will be a lot of interest, and we are expecting a strong attendance from our members.”
The meeting takes place at the Cross Keys Hotel in Kelso on March 30, at 2.15pm.
