Missing man sighted in Berwick

Police are making a fresh appeal for information to trace a missing Sunderland man after reported sightings in Scotland and Northumberland.

Carl Rowe, 42, of Eglington Street North in Roker, was last seen by family members around 6.45pm on Sunday night, March 30. He was reported missing by family members on Monday afternoon, March 31.

On Tuesday afternoon, April 2, police received a report of a sighting of him in North Berwick, in East Lothian, Scotland. It’s also believed he has been sighted in Berwick, Northumberland.

When spotted in North Berwick he was wearing navy coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three stripes down the legs, and a navy waterproof jacket with a distinctive bright blue colour in the inner hood.

Mr Rowe is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark brown hair, spiked up, and wearing glasses.

Police are concerned for Mr Rowe’s welfare and are appealing for the public’s help to trace him.

He lives alone at his Roker home and anyone who has seen him since Sunday night is asked to get in touch with police as soon as possible.
