During the road checks, 20 people were found to be involved in numerous environmental and waste management offences and were processed by SEPA representatives.

Phase two of the operation saw police and partners visit various scrap metal dealers across the division to identify anyone involved in the sale of stolen metal, and encourage dealers to report any suspected thieves to police.
