There was an exceptionally high standard of exhibits in all sections at this year’s Oldhamstocks Flower Show on Saturday.

Sheila Ainslie, one of the show organisers, reported that there were many new faces this year as well as the very loyal, long standing exhibitors.

She added: “The runners for our hill race really enjoyed the challenging terrain. We could always do with more runners so please sign up for next year.

“The sheep were a very welcome addition to the show and folk from town and country alike enjoyed seeing them.”

Throughout the afternoon there was lots of fun and entertainment for everyone. There were children’s races, craft stalls, dog show and raffles and the day concluded with a fantastic dance to music provided by Pulse.
