A teenager has been arrested and charged after a serious assault in Dunbar last month.
During the attack, which happened at around 11pm on Saturday May 28, an 18-year-old man sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital before later being discharged.
The 19-year-old accused made a first appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, June 13 and will appear again at a later date.
Inspector Alan Hogarth of Haddington Police Station said: “We treat all crimes of violence with the utmost seriousness and whenever they occur we will utilise all resources at our disposal to bring those responsible to justice.
“Violence will not be tolerated in our communities and those who witness offences of this nature, or have been the victim of violence, should come forward to police immediately.”
