Kenryck Lloyd-Jones has been selected as a Labour Party list candidate for the South of Scotland.
The Coldingham resident is chair of the Berwickshire branch of the Labour Party and contested last year’s general election.
“I want to see a Labour back in government,” he said. “I want us to be more inclusive, I want Labour to reengage with members and reinvigorate our approach, and reconnect with voters.
“But we are going to need some new ideas and some fresh faces if we are going to win back trust. I have a radical heart, but a clear head - and that’s what Scottish Labour needs right now.
“I am confident in my track record, my endorsements and my commitment - and I welcome the chance to let you know more about me, meet and chat with you.
“I have the values, the skills and experience to hit the ground running and take the fight to the Tories and the SNP.”
