The Eyemouth RNLI Lifeboat was called out at 9.25am on Monday to go to the aid of a 15 metre trawler that had broken down close to rocks in Eyemouth bay.

The Berwick registered fishing vessel, Good Fellowship, with three people on board, had just left Eyemouth harbour to carry out engine trials when the cooling system failed and the engine was in danger of over heating. The skipper immediately shut the engine down and called for help.

The Lifeboat was quickly on scene, and with the assistance of fellow fishing vessel, Bonaventure acting as a brake, towed the Good Fellowship the short distance back to Eyemouth harbour.
