A flood alert has been issued for the Borders.
The Scottish Environment Protection agency said in the alert that heavy rainfall is expected from Tuesday night into Wednesday, which will lead to a risk of flooding to land and property from rivers. This may also result in widespread disruption to travel and infrastructure.
The public are advised to “remain vigilant” and remember it is their responsibility “to take actions which help protect yourself and your property”.
