Exactly 23 years ago, Kelso Post Office relocated from Horsemarket to Woodmarket into Brown Newsagents - locally known as ‘Chrissy Broon’s’. Eric Brown was postmaster until his death in 2005. His brother, Ian, was in the role until he also passed away in August 2015. Currently Ian’s daughter, Karen Armstrong, is the postmistress. Over the past month both Post Office and newsagents have been refurbished and brought into the 21st century. Another Post Office counter has been gained which will run in the shop’s hours.
