THE 131st Ayton Flower Show proved a success despite the inclement weather.
oVERALL entries were down slightly but it was gratifying to see a number of new exhibitors participating and hopefully this will encourage others.
The judges commented on all sections of the show and said exhibits were of a good standard despite the poor summer.
The judges for the day were Ronald McBeath, Lamberton, Gerald Sandwith, Berwick, Oliver Wharton, Norham, and David Hutchison, Chirnside. The industrial judges were Mrs Chandler, Mrs Borthwick, Duns, Mrs Doris Huntly (floral art), Paxton, and Mrs Pricilla Chisholm (children’s section).
