Jim Clark Rally to use Duns stage again

THE popular Duns street stage will be used once again in this year’s Jim Clark Rally.

The rally organisers have announced several temporary road closures during the weekend of the rally (May 27-29).

Following the success of the past two years, the rally will once again feature Duns as the hub of the event.

Broadly following the patteren of last year the International rally will be making its ceremonial start in the town before completing the street stage on the Friday evening before returning on Saturday for the finish and prize presentation.

The Reivers Rally will also run from the Market Square on Sunday.

Further details of the event will be released over the coming weeks.

Street closures in Duns will be as follows: North Market Square and Black Bull Street (closed from 12 noon on Friday, May 27, to 10pm on Sunday, May 29);North Street (closed 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, May 26, and from 4pm to 11pm on Friday, May 27); South Market Square car parking area (closed from 12 noon to midnight on Friday, May 27).

During the Duns stage on the Friday night the other roads being used will be closed between 5.30pm and 10.30pm. These include Bridgend, Currie Street, part of Easter Street, Station Road, Langtongate and Duns Industrial Estate).
