Saturday, August 2 sees the 141st Innerwick Flower, Vegetable & Fruit Show. With prize winning exhibits, children’s entertainment, Tranent Pipe Band, a birds of prey display, refreshments and so much more there is always something for everyone to enjoy. This year’s president Norma Watt commented: “It’s a great family day out. Innerwick Flower Show is a lively, friendly event for all ages. There’s plenty to see and do including arts, crafts, food, activities and demonstrations.”
Doors open at 2pm, with an official opening at 2.15pm by William Hutchison of agricultural merchants and machinery, Thomas Sherriff.
Much appreciated and helping to provide the best possible day is the kind sponsorship from Community Wind Power, Viridor Waste Management, EDF Energy, Verdant Leisure and the many individuals who help in so many ways.
Innerwick Flower Show, founded in 1863 is one of the longest running flower shows in East Lothian.
The tea and beer tent will provide welcome refreshment, especially if the sun continues to shine and if you still have energy left there is an evening dance in the Village Hall from 8pm.
