Hoping for European vaulting success

SIR, - Having been selected to represent Great Britain as a junior individual at the European Vaulting Championships to be held in Le Manns from August 15-21, I would like to thank all those below who supported my recent fundraising efforts towards my trip.

Berwickshire Sports Council, staff and pupils at Kelso High School, Philip Hewit, vaulters and parents at Reivers Vaulting Group and South of Scotland Select. J.S. Forsyth - Eccles, Olivers Transport, Marshall Leisure, G.J. Waddel, Robert Young Vets, Henderson Grass Machinery, Julie and Stuart Purves and family, Anthea Drysdale, Keith and Phillipa Dickman and family, Bestintent Marquee Specialists, Robert Walker, Claire Wishart and Tessa Hunter.

Also everyone who came along to my Bingo Night, those who made donations and brought along raffle prizes, Mr John Morton for the use of the bingo machine, the Cross Keys Kelso, Roxburgh Estates, Waggon Inn Kelso, Kelso Racecourse, Sampans Restaurant Edinburgh, Jim and staff at Kelso Swimming Pool who all donated the main prizes for the evening.

A huge thanks to Rebecca Morgan, my coach, who has coached and mentored me over the last eight years. Thanks also to Margaret Morgan, chairperson of the Berwickshire Group RDA, based at Sunnyside, Reston, and her committee who are allowing me the use of their horse Delikat for the championships and thanks to Doreen Calder for the use of her lorry for the trip.

I am extremely grateful to you all.

And last but not least thanks to my mum Anna-Marie, brother Michael, Grandpa and Granny - Bill and Chrissie McLaughlin - for all their support.

I am looking forward to competing at the Championships and representing Great Britain, Thank you all again for your your generosity and support it is very much appreciated.
