Dr Chris Jary, who recently retired as a Berwick GP, will deliver a talk on HIV care in Uganda as Borders General Hospital next week.
Dr Jary spending spent several years working in a district hospital in Uganda.
His talk will be delivered at the The Scottish Borders Africa Aids Group (SBAAG) AGM on November 10 at 2.30pm in Borders General Hospital’s Chaplaincy Centre.
SBAAG was set up because of the work of Borders doctors Dorothy and the late Sandy Logie, primarily to support the Sandy Logie Clinic at the St Francis Hospital in Katete, Zambia.
Over the years their work has broadened into supporting a number of projects in other African countries. All projects help those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
