Garden party team bowled over by accolade

The Jim Paterson Rose Bowl, presented to acknowledge the contribution to life in Coldstream by either a group or individual, was presented to the team of four who have transformed Coldstream Community Centre's gardens over the past four years '“ Carole and David Anderson and Julie and Arthur Parsons.

They have spend most Wednesdays for the past four years clearing the back garden of rubbish, digging and planting, and they have completely reconfigured the front, which has made a huge difference to the entrance to the centre.

The gardeners were presented with the rose bowl by Martin Brims, chairman of Coldstream Community Centre.
