The warning comes after a number of residents in the area have been targeted by the fraudsters.

SBC are reminding the public that any goods uplifted from households by council staff only takes place where a prior booking has been made through the Bulky Uplifts Service.

Council staff do not ‘cold call’ to uplift metal or other goods from householders.
