Flooding concern at Burnmouth under investigation

Network Rail is doing further investigations to try and
resolve flooding issues in the Burnmouth area, at the request of the community council

Road conditions in the village are also causing concern and damage to the Brae road is thought to have been caused by vehicles coming along from Partanhall and taking the extremely sharp right hand turn instead of turning at the harbour. Advice to turn around at the harbour is to be included on the village’s laminated information sheets.

The condition of the un-adopted back road to Partanhall and the problems that could arise if this road has to be used in an emergency continues to cause concern and will be discussed as part of Resilient Community Planning.
