Dunbar firefighters were amongst 39 involved in fighting a blaze at Thurston Manor Leisure Park, Innerwick, that began last night.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) had been called to respond to a fire yesterday (July 7) at 8.58pm.

Crews were deployed from Dunbar, Haddington, East Linton, North Berwick, and McDonald Road fire stations. In total, there were 39 firefighters in attendance.

Upon arrival crews assessed the scene and requested two further appliances and a height vehicle. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used three high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.

They also used a short extension ladder and two thermal imaging cameras to check for any signs of fire spread.

The fire was brought under control by 1.05am this morning (July 8).
