The AGM was held last week but unfortunately the attendance was so small an emergency AGM must now be held.

Mariette Warnock said: “Chirnside Civic Week urgently need committee members. We are holding an emergency AGM on Wednesday, November 26, in the Robin’s Nest at 7.30pm where we will discuss the future of the event.

“Please come along with your ideas, talents, and maybe a friend to see what we are about and how you can help. Meeting just once a month, it is an ideal way for those who are new to the village to meet people and take part in organising a very rewarding week. Help us save a tradition that has lasted over 30 years and keep it alive for future generations, without you, it will sadly come to an end.

“We hope to see a great turnout of enthusiastic people!”
