THE Eyemouth and District Twinning Association is all set to be wound up at an Extraordinary General Meeting next month.

The Twinning Association have held a number of meetings during the past year to gauge interest in keeping the twinning arrangement with the town of Marle, in northern France alive.

Unfortunately there has not been a significant response from the residents of Eyemouth and as a result the Twinning Committee has decided it is unable to continue.

It has been decided to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting at 7pm on Wednesday, May 11, in the Eyemouth TEDDA buiilding to draw the twinning connection with Marle to a close.

An open invitation is extended to anyone in Eyemouth and the surrounding area who would like to attend this meeting.
