Police in the Borders are appealing for information to help trace a man reporting missing in Eyemouth.

Matthew Seui from Stebbings Rise was last seen at Berwick railway station at 9.50am on Friday, April 25, as he boarded a train to Leicester.

However, the 37 year old has not been seen or heard from since and concern is now growing for his welfare.

Anyone who can assist in locating Matthew is asked to contact police immediately.

He is Tongan,, 6ft tall and heavy build and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a light-coloured hooded top, a black Cobra baseball cap with a white motif.

Inspector Kevin Harris said: “We are keen to establish Matthew’s whereabouts as soon as possible and anyone who believes they have seen him since Friday is asked to come forward.

“While we know the train he boarded was bound for Leicester, he may alighted anywhere on that route and so we are keen to hear from other passengers or members of the public who recognise his description.

“In addition, we would ask Matthew to get in touch with friends, family or police and let us know you are safe and well.”
