Parents, grandparents, friends and family had a chance to view displays of pupils’ work at Eyemouth High School Technologies Department Open Evening.
Scott Johnson, the school’s new principal teacher of technologies, said: “We wanted to showcase the creative abilities of our pupils when challenged with modern day design situations and celebrate their achievements.
“We also wanted to demonstrate the new technology we have received this year in the form of a 3D printer and laser cutter.
“These are exciting times in Eyemouth Technologies!”
The school technician, Paul Watson, was also on hand to demonstrate the machines, which will soon be used by pupils.
Headteacher Dave Watson, commented: “Mr Johnson is new to the school and has a great vision and enthusiasm for his department.
“I am very proud of the range of high quality work that has been produced at the school, from the amazing Christmas cakes to the individual clock designs and projects on display.”
The school would like to thank Eyemouth Rotary who provided funding towards the S1 course.
This enabled the pupils to design and produce a variety of unique projects.
