Claire O'Brien and her father Billy organised the event which took place in the Volunteer Hall in Duns in May.

As well as tasty food and a night of dancing, the 200 guests had the chance to bid on some fantastic prizes in the auction such as a signed Edinburgh Gunners Rugby Team top and a ride in a rally car.

Claire said: "I've been aware of the work CHAS do for a number of years and I've always been really keen to help.

"It seemed like a great time to get involved as I've just finished the first part of my university course and I had some time before starting to study social care in Edinburgh after the summer."

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to and attended the night. Without their help the event wouldn't have been possible."

CHAS fundraiser Jayne Forbes said: "We are delighted Claire and her family have chosen to support CHAS and it's very much appreciated.

"Supporters like Claire and her family help us raise the 6.8 million needed every year to run Rachel House in Kinross, Robin House in Balloch and the CHAS at Home service."
