Dunbar sparkles with festive cheer

After kicking off its Christmas festivities with, live music and mulled wine on November 27, the second Christmas Dunbar Arts, Crafts and Produce Market was well received as part of the Dunbar Christmas Lights switch on ceremony.

Christmas markets offer a different twist to the festive season; stalls bursting with traditional crafts, unusual gifts and local treats, they are ideal for a last-minute shopping spree!

Each Christmas market has an enchanting character of its own, with an overwhelming romantic and quaint atmosphere. Dunbar sparkled with glittering lights and the cold, dry weather only served to enhance a special pre-Christmas glow.

Situated in the heart of Dunbar, the historic high street was transformed into a Christmas shoppers’ haven with 20 stalls displaying a wide range of local crafts and produce each one offering unique, handmade and unusual gifts, decorations and food items - everything you will need for the perfect Christmas celebration.

To add to the shoppers’ delight, many of Dunbar’s independent shops joined in the extravaganza and festive merriment by opening their doors and offering tasty bites and the opportunity for customers to browse their well stocked shelves.

Even though the well received market was for one day only, the Dunbar Christmas lights – one of the most fantastic displays in Scotland - will continue to shine until January 6 and shoppers will not be disappointed as Dunbar shops, with their personal service and wide range of excellent produce will be open for business seven days a week.
