Drivers taken to hospital after crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-car collision on the A68 near to Wiselawmill Farm, north of Lauder, on Saturday at around 6.30am.

The collision involved a red Nissan Micra and a black Ford Fiesta.

The drivers of both cars were taken to the Borders General Hospital for treatment for minor injuries and later discharged.

The road was closed until 9am to allow for vehicle recovery and collision investigations.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to please get in touch.

Constable Cara Pearson said: “Anyone who may have information that can assist us with our investigation is asked to contact us on 101.”
