Although all the turbines would be situated in East Lothian, Scottish Borders Council has consultee status as a ‘relevant authority’.
At a meeting of the planning and building standards committee in St Boswells on Monday, councillors voted through the recommendation from the head of planning and regulatory services, that no objections be lodged in regard to the extension.
It was found that the development would not impact on the Borders in terms of shadow flicker. There was a single condition attached, regarding noise limitation.
In the event of a justified noise complaint, the installation shall be shut down or limited in operation.
