Police raid property in Burnmouth in on-going fight to tackle drug crime

Police officers from the Scottish Borders Community Action Team searched a property in Burnmouth this morning (Friday, July 24) under a MDA (Misuse of Drugs Act) warrant.

Officers were at the property around 11am.

During the search, a quantity of medical gas was seized, believed to have been stolen recently in the Northumbria area.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Liddle, of the Community Action Team, said: “We will continue to work closely with our colleagues from Northumbria to remove illegal substances from our street and target those who bring misery to local communities.”
